LG G5 and Independence Day: Resurgence
On location – before the sand storm and subsequent alien invasion.
ABLE recently completed VFX and final color grading for the theatrical tie-in trailer featuring the new LG G5 smart phone and the summer blockbuster Independence Day: Resurgence.
The one day shoot took place in a patch of desert just outside of Lancaster California, and was written and directed by Screen Vision’s Matt Arden. In addition to full sky-replacement and phone screen composites, ABLE animated several waves of the alien fighters, carefully matching the look and lighting used in the film.

Screen Vision and LG loved the spot so much, they expanded it’s run to include their outdoor media space in Times Square, where it ran over 600 times per day.
